The best of toy organization just got better! Traditional toy boxes or toy chests are not very helpful for the children to find toys. They can more easily find their toys when they can see them, not when some are at the bottom of a chest, tub or drawer or hidden behind a door. A toy storage cabinet must have enough compartments to store only one toy in each, or the child will constantly take the toys out looking for what is behind or under the other toys.

When the child is encouraged to just toss as many toys as possible into each bin it devalues each toy in the child's eyes. No wonder they quickly become bored with all the toys.

Another problem comes up once the child has taken most or all of the toys out. There is no specific place to put each toy back. So telling them to "put away the toys where they belong" doesn't make too much sense to the child. It is one more reason for the child to NOT get started cleaning up.

How can you get your child on the path to a well organized play room without a lot of supervision by the parents? Actually, children want their toys in place so they can find them. Wanting neatness for neatness sake as much as the parents do has to be learned.

How to reduce the clutter and keep your child happy. The key suggestion is to have relatively few toys available to the children at one time. This gives them a chance to value the toy, rather than being "distracted" by a whole pile of additional toys which just might contain a more interesting toy. They don't like picking up toys just because their parents told them so.
